SBR Makin’ Moves in 2024

Updated: Jan 19

Swim Bike Run Re-brands and Accelerates Towards a Bright Future as SBR Bikes & Brews:

A Unique Blend of a Dynamic Bike Shop and a Welcoming Café

Since its inception in 2009, Swim Bike Run has been a cherished haven for cycling and multisport enthusiasts across the greater St. Louis area. Now, brace yourselves for a thrilling evolution as the business embarks on a monumental rebrand, paired with a move to a new location at The District in Chesterfield, and transforms into SBR Bikes & Brews – a unique blend of a dynamic Bike Shop and a welcoming Café. In this exciting new venture they also proudly announce a partnership with Specialized Bicycles, uniting with a brand that mirrors their dedication to Community, Quality, and Innovation.

While Swim Bike Run’s business initially focused on the local Triathlon Community, the evolution to SBR Bikes & Brews will showcase a move towards a more community oriented Bike Shop, and away from the Triathlon label. In fact, GM James Coudright notes that “SBR will replace its Swim and Run Sections with a larger selection of Road, Gravel, and Mountain Bikes, and while our product mix will have evolved, our dedication to providing Quality Products, Professional Bicycle Service & Bike Fitting will remain the same”.

The Brews section of the store is designed to be a cozy space where Cyclists and Coffee Connoisseurs converge to savor exceptional coffee and delectable bites. This addition goes beyond retail, creating a community space that encourages connections, conversations, and pre or post ride meetups, all rooted in a shared love for cycling.

While the new restaurant/retail concept at The District in Chesterfield is still growing, the new location for SBR will be only a few doors down from its central pavilion where anchor tenants 4-Hands Brewery & Hi-Pointe Drive-In already share a 10,000 sq ft space. Being able to end your bike ride with a Coffee, Beer or a Burger is not the only thing SBRs new location has going for them; The District location also ensures greater central accessibility for the Bike Shop, and will make it an easy trip for those traveling from both St. Louis & St Charles Counties. Combine this with direct access to the Monarch Levee Trail, the Katy Trail, and new mountain bike trails in the works at River’s Edge Park and you have what could be a homerun for SBR. GM James Coudright emphasizes, "The move isn't just about changing our location; it's a transformation into a destination that embodies Community and bringing people together on bikes. Our new partnership with Specialized Bicycles and the introduction of our Brews concept invites everyone to be a part of something truly unique."

SBR Bikes & Brews will open in the Bike side of the business at their new location on March 1st, with the Brews side coming shortly after. They invite everyone to join them in celebrating this exciting new chapter at their official grand opening event in April. The grand opening promises exclusive promotions, an exploration of the new retail space, and a taste of the delightful offerings from the Brews coffee shop.

Saddle up for the future with SBR Bikes & Brews!
