Trails & Bikeways Now on Trailnet Website!
We just launched the Trails & Bikeways section of our website that features an interactive regional map displaying more than 80 trails and bikeways throughout St. Louis City and County and St. Charles County in Missouri and Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois. Detailed information is provided for each trail/bikeway using a standard presentation format, including name, length, surface, terrain, county, attractions, connections, link to Google maps for driving directions, contact information and link to detailed map.

Hundreds Celebrate at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge
Hundreds turned out on Friday, October 21 for a dual celebration at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. Trailnet completed installation of full-span pedestrian lighting, made possible through the contributions and support from AmerenUE, the Gateway Foundation, Senator Kit Bond, Mayor Francis Slay and the City of St. Louis and Mayor John Hamm, III and the City of Madison, IL. The City of St. Louis celebrated connecting the Riverfront Trail to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge - now enabling cyclists to ride from downtown St. Louis to Pere Marquette State Park almost completely on trails. Alderwoman Dionne Flowers represented Mayor Slay and the City of St. Louis, and Mayor John Hamm, III had the honor of turning on the lights (shown in photo).

Eagle Days and Trailnet Debut on TV
This past year MISSOURI OUTDOORS, a production of the Missouri Department of Conservation, produced two videos featuring Trailnet. "So Close to Home" focuses on the annual Eagle Days event at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge where opportunities abound to see these magnificent birds up close. The second piece, "Exploring The World At Your Doorstep" discovers the beauty of a trail system that takes you through parts of St. Louis by exploring the Riverfront Trail. KETC/channel 9 will broadcast "So Close to Home" at 5:58 pm on November 5, and "Exploring The World At Your Doorstep" at 6:00 pm on November 19. If you can't watch, tape it!
