New Creative Interpretation on the Riverfront
Trail
Grace Hill Settlement House, St. Louis poet, Jane
Ellen Ibur and Cobden, Illinois artist, Mel Watkin
recently unveiled an interpretation project along
the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. Ibur and
Watkin collaborated to come up with the concept for
the project and worked with Doug Eller of Grace Hill
and the Trail Rangers to decide which topics to
write about. The poems were written to spark
curiosity about the rich industrial and natural
history of the Riverfront Trail. The project was
funded through grants from the St. Louis Regional
Arts Commission and the Great Rivers Greenway with
support from the Missouri Department of Natural
Resources, Americorps Trail Rangers and Trailnet.

Consider Making a Year-End Gift to Trailnet
At this time of year we always like to take time to
look at the progress made toward our mission of
Connecting Communities Across Our Region. We are
proud to be active in all parts of the bi-state
region, working to improve recreational
opportunities and quality of life for community
residents and visitors to our area. As you consider
your year-end charitable giving, we ask that you to
make a gift of $75, $150 or more to support Trailnet
initiatives.
