Vote First Before Viewing Results
Otherwise you will not be able to vote on this survey

These surveys should be considered a long term project to compile data over a long period of time. Survey questions have no closing date. This page was designed to assemble demographic data from cyclists and stlbiking viewers in general. This personal data is collected without the knowledge of you are. Information is only collected in bulk but not tracked. No other data is collected other than the viewable figure that you will be able to see in "real time".

The polling accuracy increases with each new voter. So come back often and view the data has the sampling size increases. No one knows who you are so there's no reason to complete these surveys incorrectly. You are not tracked or followed other than tracking your IP address and the use of cookies to prevent voting twice. These online surveys were launched November 26, 2004.

Be sure to vote before trying to views results. By viewing the results the system will think you're already voted.

  Road Racing Capability
This survey will really pinpoint some important demographics. If you don't know what category you fit into then maybe you need to pass on this survey question. It's not necessary to complete each section. If you do enter bicycle road races select your true category. This is not a good place to "cat up" or to "sandbag".

Just like in the question above, if you don't know your category maybe you should should pass on this question. Remember not to "cat up" or "sandbag" your selection. No one knows who you are so there's nothing to gain by selecting inaccurate choices.

This one is pretty simple. It's not the length or time of your typical ride. It's just how often. Even if you just ride around the block a few times it counts as one day. Do the math and make your selection. Let the numbers do the talking.

  Typical Ride Length
We are asking for your typical ride length here. Not sure? Then just make your best guess. Mountain bikers may have to guess more than road riders. For those of you who join group rides this should be fairly easy. Use your best judgment.

We are asking for a brand name not model name. This survey is quite different than the others. It's fill in the blank not multiple choice. It's important to spell the company's name correctly or the system can mix the choices together. Be sure the 1st letter is capitalized.
Example:
Cannondale, Trek, Specializied. You can insert a two word name such as Gary Fisher. Keep it simple. This survey is an experiment at best.

Thank you for taking part in this online survey. I'm not sure when the final results will ever be considered completed as these surveys have been developed to never close. It's possible that the results may be made available to other medias for future use but it's definitely not the plan at this time.

Feel free to invite others to take part in this online survey! Be sure to check back often to see how the survey data has changed.
