Don't Let Track Cycling Die

The Olympic committee have removed the Kilo and the 500 meter Time Trial from the Olympics for 2008 so they could add BMX.  It has caused a big stir in the track community to say the least.  The below link is a petition is designed to persuade the committee to re-install these track competitions for the 2008 Games.

In St. Louis, The Penrose Park Velodrome is being resurrected after years of dormancy allowing the Velodrome to fall into disrepair. The rebuilding of the Penrose Park could have been achieved with gracious contributors and interested parties working together toward a common goal.
